Carbon Clarity is the trading name of Dr Jane Gilbert

I have over 20 years’ experience in the organics recycling sector, working both in the UK and abroad. Coupled with this, I have a wide network of professional contacts and a large store of technical information that I use to offer a range of products and services.

What do I offer?

My work centres around the recycling of biowaste and the emergent circular economy. I offer consultancy, technical writing/editing and training services, with a particular focus on the composting and anaerobic digestion sectors.

Consultancy

I draw on my scientific background to provide research, analysis and specialist advice covering a wide range of sustainability issues. These include options appraisals, desktop reviews and policy advice. Some of the project I have been involved include:

• Circular economy thinking;
• Compost quality and contamination;
• Food waste collection;
• Biodegradable plastics;
• Training assessments; and
• Communications.

Technical writing and editing

I have experience in authoring leading industry publications, which enables me to provide clear, technically accurate copy. I work with a number of European organisations, such as the European Compost Network whose biannual newsletter I help research and write.

Training

With so many new policy initiatives and legislative requirements to contend with, it can be a daunting prospect simply staying up-to-date. I currently work with CIWM Training, part of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, delivering courses on the UK Digestate Standard PAS 110 and Practical Waste Management.
